About Us

Bundaberg Fruit & Vegetable Growers Cooperative, established in 1948, has been strongly supporting its members in such areas as media representation; political lobbying; direct service to growers; facilitating training and research projects; providing industry contact point; grower representation on government, industry and community committees and industry promotion. As well as answering questions in regards to wage issues, superannuation, workplace health & safety, labour issues and information regarding new permits, and more. With an email database having recently been set up, we are now a greater resource to our members with the ability to send out new information immediately, including policy or laws that could affect our district.

The future for Bundaberg Fruit & Vegetable Growers is a strong one. We continue to look at all modern and current businesses which enable us to enhance our performance and our professionalism. With these strategies, it has led to further growth and increase in value to member services. This has also lead to increased membership and representation, including  for the Gympie, Queensland area. As well, BFVG is now looking after the administration duties for the Australian Herb & Spices Industry Association (AHSIA). This year, BFVG is has created its strategic business plan, so the new Executive officer and the Board Directors can have a clear focus of direction, which will enhance our strength in the industry. With such commodities as sweet potatoes, macadamias, avocados, tomatoes, mangoes and many more, the Bundaberg Region has escalated into becoming known as the salad bowl of Queensland.
