Carbon Farming in the Burnett Mary Region

Project ID: EO12-01-0084

July 2013-June 2017

BFVG is working in partnership with the Burnett Mary Regional Group (BMRG), Burnett Catchment Care Association (BCCA) and Dairy Australia to deliver a four year program funded by the Australian Government's Extension and Outreach Program.

'Restoring the Balance; Carbon Farming Solutions' was established to provide relevant information to land managers on the Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI), greenhouse gas (GHG) emission mitigation technologies and carbon sequestration tools.

BFVG's Extension Officer Bree Grima will be delivering numerous workshops and one-on-one meetings with growers focusing on soil health, fertiliser management and farming efficiencies to assist growers in their farm management practices.
