  • A Superannuation Account for superannuation entitlements
  • A valid Visa

Ensure you have provided your employer/contractor with ACCURATE details relating to your:

  • Tax File Number (TFN)
  • Superannuation Account Number and Fund Details
  • Bank Account Number including the BSB (Bank-State-Branch) Number
  • Australian Business Number (if you have one, and it is required)

For your recording purposes it is a good idea to:

  • Keep all payslips and any paperwork relating to your employment including contracts
  • If you sign a Piece Work agreement, you must receive and keep a signed copy

Keeping this information will be useful if you are experiencing any pay/work condition disputes and need to discuss with an Australian Government Department. You will be required to produce evidence of your claims. REMEMBER: Try to discuss your concerns with your employer first.
