The National Vegetable Extension Network (VegNet) comprises of 10 Australia wide regional members;
Tasmania | Victoria | New South Wales | Queensland - South East Queensland | Wide Bay Burnett | North and Far North Queensland | The Northern Territory | Western Australia
VegNet was formed as part of the VG15040 Regional Capacity Building to grow vegetable businesses project funded by Hort Innovation using the Vegetable Industry levy and funds from the Australian Government, and is Coordinated by Applied Horticultural Research.
Bundaberg Fruit & Vegetable Growers role in the three (3) year project will be to disseminate and distribute R&D outcomes and opportunities by way of;
- One-on-One Grower Consultations
- R&D specific Workshops
- Bi-Monthly Newsletters
- Distribution of regionally specific research reports
Our AIM is to work with regional vegetable producers to determine production gaps and relevant opportunities for on-farm improvements whereby production capacity and capability will be enhanced.
